I hadn't heard of Happy Dragon (although it is a chain with several locations in the metro area), but when another restaurant was backed up with customers, I decided my time was worth more than waiting in line and headed down the strip mall to try out this Chinese restaurant.
The overall appearance was very typical of strip mall restaurants...white walls at the front with lots of pictures of food and preprinted menus available for ordering take out. In fact, I got the impression that most of the orders were for take out. As one of the only dine in customers, I didn't have to wait long for my lunch special.
I ordered a Chicken Chow Mein lunch with fried rice and an egg roll as my complementary sides. The flavor was really good and the bowl was quite appetizing to look at. I did find the fried rice to be a little flavorless but the white sauce did well to make up for it.
The egg roll was a vegetarian type and had a crisp outside. I did find adding one of the sauces added to the flavor.
Although I usually prefer to support independent restaurants, it's nice to know that I can still get a decent meal even if there aren't any "wow" moments.

Favorite Chinese place in town! Only downside to that is the wait sometimes. :) we like the general tsos and chicken lo mien.

This is only alright. They sesame seed chicken tastes vary bland and has little flavor. The chicken itself was dried out and hard to chew. The crab rangoons didn't have more than 2 tiny pieces of the crab and just had cream cheese. It wasn't the worst I have had, but you could tell they tried to thicken the sauces up with cornstarch and gave it a very floury flavor. I have given this place a couple tries on different occasions, and I haven't been impressed either time.

This is probably my favorite Chinese food place ever. I always get either the sweet and sour chicken or the lo mein. Their crab Rangoon's are good too! And its totally affordable, not to mention just a pint is definitely enough for two people.

If you're going in any time other than a Friday or Saturday night, do not get the buffet. All the food has been sitting for hours and is either ice cold or burnt up.
